Purpose
As a member of the creative team, the Copywriter works both on the business and in the business. The Copywriter plays a crucial role in shaping and communicating the voice of our clients’ brands through compelling, creative copy across multiple platforms. This position supports the agency’s growth by crafting strategically aligned, consumer-driven content that not only captures attention but also drives engagement. By working closely with the account, creative, and media teams, the Copywriter ensures that all messaging is consistent, on-brand, and effective in meeting campaign objectives. With a deep understanding of franchise development processes, the Copywriter helps our clients achieve their marketing goals while contributing to the overall creative excellence and innovation of the agency.

Essential Functions of the Job
Copywriting and Content Creation:
- Develop persuasive and brand-consistent copy for digital campaigns, lead generation, website content, social media, blogs, video motion graphics/animations, and print ads.
- Ensure content is optimized for various platforms, keeping an eye on SEO best practices and brand voice consistency.
- Understand franchise development sales processes and create copy that supports lead generation and consumer engagement in this context.
- Maintain and enhance tone, keywords, and messaging for assigned brands.
Concept Development and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with art directors and the creative team to develop copy and concepts for advertising campaigns.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and supply fresh, creative ideas to elevate campaign quality.
- Work closely with account services and media teams to ensure copy aligns with client goals and platform specifications.
- Present copy concepts and strategies to the Executive Creative Director (ECD) and other key internal stakeholders.
Client Communication and Presentations:
- Confidently present copy and strategy to clients, with the potential for travel to client meetings as necessary.
- Offer constructive feedback to clients and internal teams, defending creative choices with data-driven insights.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, becoming a subject matter expert (SME) in franchise development marketing.
Campaign and Project Management:
- Work across multiple client accounts, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Use project management software to stay organized and manage competing priorities efficiently.
- Check in regularly with team members to ensure smooth project transitions and timely delivery of work.
Agency Core Values and Leadership:
- Proactively bring issues to Department L10 meetings with recommendations to improve processes with a creative approach.
- Complete quarterly rocks and goals.

Required Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years of copywriting experience in an advertising or marketing agency, with proven success in developing multi-platform campaigns (digital, print, social media, etc.).
- Understanding of franchise development marketing is highly preferred.
- Proficient with project management software, SEO, and digital advertising specifications.
- Ability to work closely with account and creative teams, offering feedback and guidance to deliver the best possible outcomes.
- Strong presentation abilities to articulate creative ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Able to adjust copy strategies based on platform updates, data-driven insights, and evolving client needs.
Job Demands & Conditions
- This position is a remote working situation with the ability to meet in person on a quarterly or as needed basis.
- This position involves sitting at a computer for several hours at a time.
- Proficiency in the use of keyboard/mouse and video meetings.
- Ability to see and hear in virtual meetings.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule aligned with Central Time zone business hours, 9 am – 5 pm, to facilitate effective collaboration and communication with team members.
