  • Daily duties include: Lead, manage and train a team of designers and copywriters to elevate the work and development needs of the team as well as creating campaign ideas and work that engages, attracts and sells.
  • Delegating and managing team resources, as it pertains to workload, prioritization of work and hiring/assigning tasks to freelancers.
  • Based on creative briefs and client meetings, develop concepts and visual solutions for a variety of creative projects, including advertisements, brochures, corporate identity, packaging, presentations, websites, digital ads, social media, online and offline direct marketing, promotional displays and signage.
  • Work with clients, account directors and project managers to ascertain needs to develop creative directions, concepts and specifications to meet client objectives and budgets.
  • Facilitate collaboration across channels, departments and team members to better understand deliverable requirements and client expectations, as well as producing out-of-the-box thinking and continually striving for innovative creative solutions.
  • Prepare visual elements and content for client presentations, and effectively interact with clients throughout concept and creative process, including presenting to clients.
  • Direct photo and video content for use across multiple platforms.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of professional standards for trademark development, intellectual property rights, usage rights for photography, illustration and other materials.
  • Be able to multi-task and work effectively in an ever-changing and collaborative, fast-paced, environment.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly in numerous communications settings, including client-facing presentations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technology in the constantly changing digital landscape.
  • Support A/B testing and multivariate testing
  • Oversee client pitches and proposals and be responsible for presenting and selling the creative work for the agency
  • Perform and facilitate performance reviews for all direct reports within the agency. Provide feedback on other team members outside of the creative team to department directors during their review processes. Conduct quarterly touch-bases with direct reports on professional development plans and if needed, performance improvement plans.
  • Represent the creative team on the leadership team and identify department needs and effectively engage in EOS including scheduling and leading department level meetings on a weekly basis, adhering to the EOS L10 agenda.


  • Minimum 8 years of art direction/design or copywriting experience. Agency experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of managerial experience with demonstrated success leading collaborative, multi-functional teams
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote/PowerPoint and Word. Experience working in Asana or other project management system preferred.
  • Proven design or copywriting skills with the ability to work on a wide range of projects.
  • Business acumen combined with creative excellence
  • Proven ability to effectively present ideas to clients.
  • Understanding of copy and design’s value within a business context.
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Low ego, balanced with a strong sense of personal drive and sound decision making qualities

Hot Dish Advertising is looking for a Junior Art Director with 2-3 years of experience with an emphasis in digital design. Ad agency experience preferred.

Ideal candidates should have the following skills:

  • Experience in concepting and creating ads, logo designs, web designs, animating digital and social graphics, file prep and template building
  • A motivated professional who can take direction as well as collaborate with others
  • Bursting with conceptual, creative ideas
  • Ability to synthesize brand style guides to maintain brand consistency
  • Modern UX/UI design knowledge a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis of prototyping tool like Adobe XD or Sketch
  • Ability to manage and deliver under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent attention to detail, project management skills, communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Must have an online design portfolio to be considered

A Digital Marketing Intern at Hot Dish will:

  • Expand their knowledge of the various paid media channels and how they interact with one another
  • Gain experience assisting in the management of multiple clients, projects and priorities from start to end including strategy, execution, reporting results
  • Work to develop analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Support the ongoing paid media needs of our clients and the digital team
  • Provide keyword research for website content and paid search campaigns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Account Services, Creative Team Members and Web Developers
  • Strive for excellence in all of their tasks, enjoys taking on challenging projects with limited knowledge and stays organized to ensure they are delivering the highest quality of service to the team and clients
  • Be flexible and adaptable based on the evolution of client accounts and updates

Media Planning

  • Support Digital Strategists in the development and execution of purchasing digital media through Google Ads, Facebook Ad Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • Pull data for weekly campaign monitoring and reporting on media budget and performance
  • Reports on testing operations
  • Uploading refreshed or new creative variations to digital platforms
  • Keyword research and reporting
  • Use online project management tools to communicate information and updates


  • Keeps up with industry trends within digital and franchising

  • Recent graduate or senior status at a college or university
  • Preferred majors: Business, Marketing, Finance, Advertising, and Economics

In this role qualified candidates will help build and manage key accounts within the agency by establishing strong client relationships through the development and delivery of effective marketing and advertising strategies and plans. At the same time, it is expected that you can also maintain profitability on your accounts in order to grow your accounts and continue to help ensure the success of the agency.

Are you looking to get started in account management with a well-established ad agency in Minneapolis? Hot Dish Advertising is now hiring for an entry-level Account Coordinator position. As an Account Coordinator, you will provide administrative and customer service support to Account Executives, media team, and creative team. In this role, you will assist in the day-to-day administration of marketing and advertising initiatives to retain and grow existing agency clients. You will help track and facilitate every project for your clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, be able to multi-task and be able to professionally communicate both internally and with client contacts as needed.


Typical duties include:

  • Preparing documentation such as meeting agendas, meeting reports, proposals, and other client communications and correspondence.
  • Participating in and documenting discussions during client meetings and conference calls.
  • Reviewing vendor quotes.
  • Verifying production specs.
  • Creating and/or providing feedback on project estimates and timelines.
  • Fielding and processing internal information requests.
  • Assisting with print production management of projects.
