Art Director - Digital

Responsibilities

As an Art Director with a digital focus, you’ll be tasked with taking on small and big sticky challenges – tackling challenges both on the business and in the business. You’ll not only craft compelling layouts that inspire action, but build creative solutions, collaborate as a team to bring fresh ideas forward and elevate the quality of our creative work. Getting to the heart of what matters to audiences through meaningful designs and dynamic storytelling. You’ll get to be a team player working on the business to help identify the root cause of our challenges and opportunities. We are not for the wallflowers who want to go along with the status quo, but for the daymakers who are striving to be their best. The ideal candidate has 3-8 years of creative agency experience, has digital design capabilities for digital mediums, a proven ability to generate original ideas as well as get into the details of production, and can be persuasive knowing when to consult or sell their work to others.

Skills

  • Experience art direction and design capabilities for consumer brand, product, and digital advertising campaigns. Specifically, you will design for franchise brands.
  • Brand identity capabilities to establish or redefine a brand look and feel that meets strategy of how to differentiate in market and appeal to target audience.
  • Proven digital design capabilities for short form digital ads, hero graphics, email, and social media campaigns. Bonus skills to develop motion graphics.
  • Proven ability to create compelling designs for a variety of platforms. Here you will create designs for digital campaigns, lead generation campaigns, build landing pages and full websites, social media posts, graphics for blogs, print ads, trade shows, TV, video, and collateral. 
  • Growth-minded and looking to grow existing accounts, support winning new business and are collaborative creative leaders.
  • Embody and represent agency core values that make us stand out from other agencies.
  • Resourcefully responsive under pressure.
  • Use data-driven insights to drive creative solutions.
  • Can shift between multiple accounts.
  • Identify and manage multiple priorities by utilizing the project management software supplied.
  • Collaborate with team members, pitch new ideas to both clients and new business opportunities, and enhance creative solutions with fresh ideas or cutting-edge tactics.
  • Excellent communicators and give respectful, clear, and direct feedback to team members.

Education/Experience

  • 3-8 years of experience, preferably in an agency or in-house creative department
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in advertising, design, communications, or relevant field
  • Superior collaborative skills and experience
  • Ability to follow brand style guides to maintain brand consistency
  • Confidence in design abilities
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD, Sketch, Bannersnack, and InVision
  • Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Suite – PowerPoint and Word
  • Basic HTML knowledge
  • Franchise brand experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Online design portfolio to be considered

Account Executive

The Opportunity

Hot Dish is looking for an experienced Account Executive who is ready for a new challenge to help our franchise clients scale and grow their brand through strategy and execution of their marketing and advertising. At Hot Dish Advertising, we work with some of the top franchise brands across the U.S., helping them grow sales for B2B and B2C plus help generate leads for franchise development. In this role, qualified candidates will help build and manage key accounts within the agency by establishing strong client relationships through the development and delivery of effective marketing and advertising strategies and plans. At the same time, this role requires that you maintain profitability on your accounts, work to provide bestinclass recommendations that help grow your accounts and, in turn, drive success of the agency. 

Skills

  • Ability to effectively lead strategy for clients and develop strong relationships and trust with clients  
  • Strong listening skills that allow you to identify the root of the problem for our clients and bring forth opportunities to support their business 
  • Provide clear direction for internal teams (creative, media and web dev) to effectively produce amazing work for our clients 
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a wide variety of projects with crossfunctional team collaboration, including branding, digital marketing, marketing and media plans, website development and more 
  • Manage industry publication ad buys as needed to support client needs

Education/Experience

  • 3-7 years in marketing/advertising in agency or client organization 
  • B.A. degree in business (marketing preferred), journalism or liberal arts with strong business curriculum 
  • Franchise experience is a plus, but not required.

Objective  

The Project Manager is responsible for brand and digital project execution and profitability by serving as the agency advocate on all project and retainer efforts. This effort is accomplished by providing clarity, documentation and management of project scope, budget, timing and associated risk to Hot Dish internal project teams and leadership in a proactive manner. This role is empowered as a key resource to keep project work aligned to agency process and standards.  

Job Summary and Performance Evaluation Criteria 

  • Actively manage workflow and budgets for all assigned projects and retainers.  
  • Work with Operations Director to identify and plan project resources.  
  • Architect and maintain project and resource inputs in project management software system.  
  • Participate in scoping/pricing activities to ensure production quality and process adherence.  
  • Manage digital assets and related materials.  
  • Proof final deliverables for accuracy and adherence to requirements.  
  • Noting feedback clearly in project management system and driving the internal and client review process correctly.   
  • Manage services and deliverables from outside vendors and partners.  
  • Review vendor and client invoices for accuracy.   
  • Troubleshooting any tracking issues that may occur on a client website or CRM.    
  • Be an active participant in the weekly EOS department meetings and complete quarterly rocks or tasks assigned to help the agency hit their goals (or if in situations where a rock cannot be completed, complete it to the best of your ability).   

Essential Requirements:  

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and communicate progress on fast-paced timelines.   
  • Critical thinking, with the ability to detect, assess and mitigate risk.  
  • Strong familiarity with advertising, branding, and media publishing tools, metrics and analytics.   
  • Ability to meet deadlines on a daily basis.   
  • Highly organized.  
  • Strong grammar and communication skills required.  

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business or similar   
  • 4+ years of experience in agency project management or producer role or equivalent agency experience.
